Sneak Preview

A sneak preview of the Spring '09 range! Cards have arrived hot of the press from the printers today and boxes line a corner of dots and spots HQ.

(Special mention for Sharon's beautiful cushion!)

8 New card designs, 16 new postcards and 15 new gift tags!

All now need to be unpacked, matched up with their red envolope and sealed in a clear cellophane wrapper before being ready for the public. All 15,000 gift tags will be individually punched and string with 3mm red satin ribon. Quality knows no boundaries at dots and spots!

Perhaps you can sneak a glance on the boxes of some of the new designs - all will be revealed in their full glory before too long!

The Studio

Welcome to The Studio!

Inspired by a post on http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/

I thought I'd take a moment to show you around my studio. Cold in winter and hot in the summer, it is, nevertheless, a space filled with light, a space to create and a space that is my own.

To make my images I collage layers of carefully ripped and torn papers to build up a unique picture. My inspiration is drawn from all around me, but vibrant and vivid colours are important to me. Dots and spots, gingham and primitive stars and hearts feature strongly in my art.

Some of the tools of my trade!

I hope you've enjoyed this peek into the world of dots and spots. I will be to hosting several studio open days in the summer - in the meantime, do follow the blog, do visit our website and do keep in touch.

Back from hibernation!

Given that its been the coldest Winter for 30 years, the dots and spots team have been huddled up escaping the worst of the Winter weather. However, its time to emerge from hibernation and get this blog going again!

This promises to be an exciting year for dots and spots with new products and features regularly rolling off the production line. Becky has been busy beavering away in her studio (the 'igloo' as she rather uncharitably describes it) and has produced a new range of cards for the spring. The designs are currently at the printers and will be hitting the shops soon! To coincide with the launch of the new designs, the website is currently undergoing another major overhaul (although the current website is still live and can be viewed at http://www.dotsandspots.biz/ - view it now before it disappears into the ether!) Follow the blog & we'll let you know when the new images can be seen on the web.

In addition to our own website, a range of dots and spots products can now also be found on the Misi craft site: http://www.dotsandspots.misi.me.uk/

Come back soon - now the dots and spots blogger has woken from his slumber there will be more posts soon!
