Busy start to April

Pinch and a punch.....hello April!!

March whizzed on by!!

I've had a catch up week. 

Got my hair done on Monday, then went out for coffee with a friend in the afternoon. 

Tuesday, I drove down to Lifton to meet up with Mum and Dad. 

I can't get down to Cornwall until around June, so this is a little stop gap/catch up in between!

We've had a week of sunshine but annoyingly a strong wind. 

So not sitting out weather but enough to get things greening up a little. 

First bit of fig action!!

On Wednesday, Jeff and I went out on a school night!!!
He gets too tired in term time to really do much/go out, but with his term finishing the following day at lunch time and because he loves Deacon Blue, he swapped his evening nap for a night out in Bristol. 

It's my fourth time seeing them live and I got to see a bonus show of just Ricky Ross in Bristol a few years ago. Have loved them since they started back in my Uni days, 30 plus years ago!! And they were still as BRILLIANT as ever.

 I adore Lorraine McIntosh, her style, her energy, her voice!!

My Thursday walk with Lynn was cancelled, so I used the day to do some jobs. 

Washing, cleaning the shower, stripping/washing/making Sam's bed, hoovering, popping into town...

So I had time today to pack, more cleaning and in 10 minutes, I'm off to meet a friend.

The kids will house sit whilst we're away. I know I am very lucky. My trip  with Sophie to Italy, was a little bonus extra. Jeff and I have for the past few years always gone away before or after the Easter weekend, which ever way it falls. He used to get an extra week to state schools but only gains a couple of days this year, and next, I believe. It's just where Easter falls. I don't want to wish the years away but I do look forward to Jeff retiring and being able to go away late April/May when everyone else is at school! We've not too many years to go!!
