Customer Service

I pride myself on dots and spots customer service. We listen and we act. We try and sort out any problem or mistake that arises however big or small it may be.

Today I have been extremely shocked by the way a company does business. I feel rudeness and bad manners  are totally unnecessary. I have actually been really upset by the way I was spoken to, by someone who made a mistake. HIS mistake, not mine. He has turned HIS problem all onto me and been really very rude in the process.

I really struggle to see how this helps resolve anything. We are all human, we all make mistakes but it's how we deal with them and make the situation right that is important. I will not stoop to his level. I will try and resolve HIS mistake because I simply don't want to have to deal with this horrible person ever again.

Rest assured, that if and when a problem arises at dots and spots, we deal with it in a pleasant and helpful way. We try to put right the problem in the most appropriate way. We are all human, we do all have feelings and sometimes I think some people should think about what they say and how they say it.

Sorry rant over!

I don't think my problem was the same. But I was in a shop (a charity shop) I asked the assistant about a dress in the window, he asked his manager and she said oh tell her is £10 - if I hadn't heard the conversation that followed between the assistant and the mnanger I wouldn't have done anything about it, but I did so I wrote to head office.

Bless you - its so hard when you are self employed and I think that people forget that especially in email or on the phone. They forget that they are actually dealing with a person, a real human being. I just had a problem the other day that was totally their fault but because I couldn't deal with the stress of it I just issued a full refund even though I had spent hours working on the item which, because it was personalised, is just going to go in the bin now. Keep smiling Becky and believe in karma it will come back and kiss you with something great soon :O)

I have always said that like the old National Service, there should be Shop Service. Until you have worked in the retail business ( I have worked in supermarkets ), you have not seen how rude and unreasonable people can be, usually over quite petty things. It makes you think!
