Today, I have.....

....been working from home.

Catching up on personalised

I have made the decision to have a little rest from doing the embellished and personalised prints soon. They will not feature in our next catalogue, so will either stop then, in late June or when our current stock of mounts, frames etc comes to an end - which ever happens first.

I love designing but really don't enjoy producing a design, time after time, after time. I take my hat off to those that can produce 10, 50, 200 of the same thing but I have come to realise that, that is not me!

Another reason is time. It takes me a long time to put together a trade order of embellished prints and now I have come to realise that time is precious - any spare time, has to be spent designing or on commission work as there simply aren't enough hours in the day.

Of course do email me if you wanted a print for a special occasion, doing one now again might be a nice change.

Of course these changes won't happen straight away but if they suddenly disappear from our website - you know why!

Keep your eyes peeled in our seconds shop - some samples and extra prints may well appear at a reduced price in the coming months!

I totally agree, sometimes ,after a trade show I have to paint 20/30 mirrors a week, not what i envisaged when i did my fine art degree, i just go onto automatic pilot ,then take a 6month break every couple of years to recharge x

I can really understand where you are coming from, I'm hopeless at repeating myself. Your things are lovely and it would be a shame to continue beyond your enthusiasm and freshness. Just been enjoying myself catching up with the sunshine, bunting and red nose cakes!

You see, I am right - just checked over my trade orders to put together for tomorrow and spied 9 embellished prints and my heart sank! Time for a break I feel! Guess what I'll be doing tonight!

Totally understand where you are coming from, though lucky for me, I am very patient and don't mind too much doing batches of the same design over and over (within reason mind you), tho am getting a little bored of making i heart badges at the minute! haha x

I hate having to make things to orders, it takes all the spontanaity out of it and makes it a real chore. I don't blame you for taking a break it means you can try other things.. Hows the wrapping paper coming?
