Hard to believe it but this morning my baby turned 10 - the all important double digits!
All the presents were suitably wrapped in dots and spots paper.....
....and opened in a flash!
Sam is saving up for his own computer and now has £315 towards one, not bad for a 10 year old, I'm thinking by next birthday he may well have got there! Of course there was a little bit of Lego thrown in, I love the fact that he's still into his Lego and I have an hour of peace now, because he is upstairs busy building.
Pancakes were the breakfast of choice, just to put me to the test this morning. We have a trip to the cinema this afternoon to see the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid film and a table booked at ASK!
We also surprised the children with a trip to London on Friday - we don't have tickets for the Olympics but have surprised ourselves with how addictive it's been, so are heading to London to soak up a little of the atmosphere, see the rings on Tower Bridge, the flags along Regent Street and if we are lucky enough, get into Hyde Park to see some of the Marathon Swim! We only have 6 hours but will LOVE every minute and the good news is that the sun might even join us too!

We saw the film on Sunday and it was brilliant. I laughed so much at one scene and the tears ran down my face. Hope your son has a great day and enjoys his lego. My son is 19 now and was lego mad and has so far spent his summer break from uni in Madrid as an au pair for two boys and has been playing with the lego again!
Hope you all have a fab day in London and that the sun shines all day.
I have suprised myself how addicted I have been watching the Olympics.Enjoy London sure it will be amazing xx
Happy Birthday Sam! Lovely to see another Lego mad boy :-)
Having enjoyed our Olympic trip last week so much I'm keen to get a bit more Olympic atmosphere so we're off to London too on Friday to see the Olympic rings at Tower Bridge ... be funny if we saw you there! By the way if you're interested a friend told me there is an Olympic exhibition at the top of the tower.
Happy Birthday!
I can't wait to see your London Pics!
Hubby said a lot of expensive stores at the Heathrow Airport!
I have 4 brothers aged between 25 and 38 and they all still get Lego for every birthday and Christmas ... I'm not sure they will ever grow out of it!
