Dancing ledge 2012

Every year Jeff's side of the family all meet up in a lane near the Dorset Coast at 11am for what has become, an annual gathering and walk down to Dancing Ledge. There are many memories attached to that special place and it is always a time, when collectively we remember Jeff's Mum who sadly passed away five years ago now.

The big plus for a lot of the family is the natural sea pool after the 2 mile walk down the hill.

Of course Jeff and Sam didn't want to get out - no surprises there! We stayed for a few hours, had a picnic, the children ranging from 4 to 16 enjoyed spending time together

and then there was the walk back. It's quite tricky to illustrate quite how steep the climb is and with 15 of you we soon spread out.

You can just make out the stragglers at the back and of course

 the young ones on ahead!

The day was finished off at the Square and Compass pub in Worth Matravers - A perfect family day (if you ignore the rain I chose not to mention at the start of the day!)

What a gorgeous walk that looks. I've bookmarked it for my family to do. Thanks for the inspiration
