A few days away......

.......in my favourite place

The weather wasn't fantastic - a bit grey and damp but I love

St. Ives whatever the weather!

First thing on my list was to visit the new Poppy Treffry shop and it was just as lovely as I'd imagined.

Sophie thought she was in shop heaven!

I did treat myself to a little something - well it would have been rude not to and met Poppy's sister!

Saw these FAB! beach hut changing rooms in one shop (sorry, can't remember the name) They also had some gorgeous bits of old vintage, painted furniture for sale - sadly it wouldn't fit in the car!

Seasalt is always a favourite

and the Hudson Gallery is always a 'must see'!

Cath Kidston is always on the girls hit list - even better as it was 15% off everything day!

This new sweet shop on the sea front had a fabulous interior.

It was lined with gorgeous old furniture, which I'd happily have in my home

and the walls lined with old fashioned sweet jars.

The harbour and seafront were as inviting as ever and of course we treated ourselves to a fish and chip supper - well it has to be done but of course....

....BEWARE of the seagulls.

Back home tomorrow - orders keep 'pinging' through - will need another little break once I've caught up!

A seagull once swooped down and pinched my husband's pasty out of his hand in St Ives, they are a real menace! Looks like you did some great shopping there.

I've never been to StIves - too late to plan a trip that way for this year but hopefully next summer. It looks gorgeous.

Last year when I went to St. Ives, Beau Bonbon was a lovely little shop selling fantastic vintage style furniture in lovely washed out greens and blues - quite French looking. I could have bought the whole shop if I'd been rich! Sad to see it's changed hands again but it still looks like it has lots of lovely things in.
Glad you enjoyed your few days, even though St. Ives is only about 45 minutes down the road from me, I don't get to visit as much as I'd like to.

You should have come a little further along the road to Marazion & popped in our lovely little vintage shop Fine & Dandy.

So lovely to see people visit places so near to where we live.
We are only down the road from Marazion. You visited some of the best shops; my cousin owns Birds of a Feather next door to Poppy. The Poppy Treffry shop is heavenly though isn't it! Always have to pop in there. But where is the shop with the Beach Hut dressing rooms? I must have missed that place somehow; it looks gorgeous!
