Longleat at Christmas

Those of you who have been reading my blog for a few years, will be aware that every Christmas, we meet up with Jeff's side of the family at Longleat to exchange gifts and visit Father Christmas. It was something Jeff's Mum loved to do for her grandchildren and when she sadly passed away, Jeff's Dad continued with the tradition.

Last year they introduced ice-skating which some of the 'big children' seemed to enjoy.

And my favourite, the musical, lighting up Christmas tree - very Disney.

But then there is the main event - Father Christmas. The Longleat Father Christmas is always so good, all the presents are named and age appropriate, although the older cousins, Sophie included as she is now a 'teenager', feel they are too old to receive a gift. It is a lovely chance to get together before we separate off for different Christmas's and a chance for all the cousins to meet up. We all have such busy lives and despite living reasonably close to each other, we often find it hard to find the time to get together, so this tradition is something to look forward to.
