Christmas at the Barn

It was an early start and a  foggy one, as we headed over to Mells and our first Christmas at the Barn.

It is organised by the very lovely Rebecca of Edamay and was opened this year by the Mayor of Frome.

Hot chestnuts greeted everyone as they arrived,

and inside, Sophie and her friend Emma were busy working in the kitchen all day. They did a fabulous job and both worked jolly hard.

The Barn is a beautiful setting for such a lovely festive event.

dots and spots added a splash of colour.
It was lovely for me to see so many friendly faces. I used to teach in Frome and saw many lovely old work collegues and a sprinkling of children too. I also met many new faces too and some blog, twitter and facebook followers. It was a lovely day.

Tonight the Christmas chocolate tin has come out as it's December the 1st and the everyday fairy lights are on, as I enjoy a well earned night on the sofa.

The Barn is open again tomorrow and so is the Frome Flea, Artisan and Super Market.
That's my morning planned, if I can get an exhausted Sophie up!
