The Polka Dot Spot Shop!

As many of you know, I love all things dotty & spotty and all my designs from cards, through gift tags, to place settings and everything in between feature spots and dots . As a lover of dotty and spotty things, I'm delighted to announce the launch of 'The Polka Dot Spot Shop' as part of my website.

I have chosen a few select items - all with a dotty or spotty theme - to sell alongside my own designs. I know you'll love all the goodies you'll find in The Polka Dot Spot Shop, because they are all the things that I love and that I have in my home! What you'll find in my shop you wont find everywhere else - and I've selected items made with skill, dedication and love by crafts people in the UK.

Do keep popping back to The Polka Dot Spot Shop as I shall be adding new lines when I unearth those hidden, and spotty, gems!

Fabric Bunting

I've always loved bunting - a quick way to give any garden or room an instant lift and breath light and colour and movement into any space.

Naturally, spotty bunting is my favourite! Many years ago I bought a string of red & white spotty bunting and have used it, inside and out ever since. Recently I was looking for some more spotty bunting, but try as I might, I couldn't find any anywhere! The solution? I commissioned local craftswoman Deborah Sparks to hand make a range of spotty fabric bunting, exclusively for dots and spots.

The bunting comes in 3 great colours: red, blue and pink, as well as a mixed string with those three colours along with green. Already proving to be a big hit, the mixed string has sold out (don't worry - new stock arriving soon!)

You don't have to wait until summer to fly the bunting flags - nothing says 'party' like bunting so use it to quickly turn any room into a party room, or why not hang a string of bunting in your bedroom for an instant 'shabby chic' feel?

Lucky Me!

Lucky, lucky me! In the last couple of weeks I have been the very lucky winner of not one, but two great giveaways from two very talented artists and it was with great excitement that I answered the postman's knock at the door and received my parcels.

First to arrive were these great cards from 'Cowboys and Custard' -very appropriate given my love of Twitter! I love the vintage and nostalgic feel with the Cowboys and Custard range - do visit the shop, you'll be sure to find a unique and original gift or card.

A couple of days later I received a copy of Poppy Treffrey's new book courtesy of Snapdragon Jane at the Snapdragon Garden. Jane uses textiles and embroidery to create the most beautiful and fun notebooks, badges, handbag mirrors and more. Do pop over to the Snapdragon Garden - you'll enjoy the tour!

(and as they say good things come in threes, I'm looking forward to winning the lottery this weekend!)

In Print!

dots and spots are delighted to be featured in the brand new Not on the High Street Christmas catalogue, that has begun to drop through letterboxes across the nation. The biggest and best catalogue that Not on the High Street have yet produced is jam packed full of goodies that you'll want to give and receive this Christmas - our favourite is 'item k' on page 15 (but then we might be a little biased!)

Not got a copy of the catalogue?

If you think starting your Christmas shopping in October is too early, items were selected for the catalogue way back in July when most of us were still hoping for a glimpse of the sun!
