Hello October

So it's farewell to September and Hello! to October.

It feels like Autumn now, misty mornings with a little chill in the air first thing but

you could still mistake it for Summer with the wonderful warm, sunny days we have been enjoying. Sadly I think things are set to change over the weekend. I sort of feel ready for it but have loved every minute of the extra sunshine.

So much so that I bunked off for the day yesterday to 'make the most of it' and headed over to Bath. It was glorious and I certainly enjoyed my coffee sat outside in the sunshine.

I have started to get into more Autumn'y' foods - roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Soup

and mushrooms are often on the menu.

I even made these delicious pancakes with oats rather than flour. I am being really good and focused at the moment. I will let you know how I'm getting on in a few weeks, as I really want to do it this time! As you may know if you have been reading my blog for a while, 2 years ago I lost 3 stone, slowly over the following year a stone crept back on and the last 6 months have been rubbish so with half my original good work lost, it's back to it with determination! I think I've found a way that works for me and as I said will share it with you in a few weeks if I continue to make progress!

dots and spots is busy - Christmas orders are already coming in and my attention  is turning to full on Christmas prep.

Remember our EARLY BIRD OFFER - 50% off all our Christmas Cards.
Offer ends midnight on Saturday the 4th of October

I quite like the coziness of autumn. I have started using my croc pot to make yummy stews and casseroles. So easy too. We too having lots of mushrooms. Happy October! Mandy x

I know what you mean! Seven years ago I lost three stones with WW and had the good intentions to never put the weight back on again. You can guess what happened. Slowly but surely, it all crept back on and I am now back where I started! Loosing the weight is hard but keeping it off is even harder! I can see that you are motivated and that is really very important for success. Good luck Becky! Keep it up and let us know how you are doing. You are inspiring me to do the same! They say French women don't get fat, well unfortunately not true when living in England for twenty years!!

Enjoy Mandy - sounds delicious. I love Autumn, although will be sad to see my flip flops go away.

It's so hard isn't it Francoise - I am quite determined and in the right mental frame this time. I'll be 44 in a few weeks time and recognise the health benefits too. I've 3 and a half stone to lose to reach my healthy BMI, well that's the plan x
