The Great Little Trading Company-

The Great Little Trading Company was a firm favourite when my 2 were growing up. I often shopped there for Birthday or Christmas presents. So I was delighted, when I was approached by them back in May, to use my wrap throughout their Christmas Campaign.

Sadly it is only used in their images and can't be bought from their on-line store but I'm still pretty chuffed for it to be featured in their festive snaps. We have another couple of exciting features in the pipeline too, which I'll be proud to share with you, if and when they happen.

Autumn at it's best

What a way to start October - a weekend of Glorious sunshine.

I spent yesterday working in Maddie Brown looking out at everyone enjoying the sunshine, hoping Sunday was going to be just as lovely. Luckily it has been even better!

We've spent all afternoon out in the garden soaking up the warm sunshine.
We've just returned from our walk in the park discovering these Autumn treasures along the way.

This oak tree had so many acorns the ground was literally covered.

But I only found the one conker - still time I guess.

I hope you've all had beautiful, warm sunshine to enjoy.

Clever Clogs

Yesterday my very clever husband got himself a new job - a 'permanent' job teaching Maths at Millfield - the largest Independent School in the UK. To say we are relieved is an understatement.

Since he was made redundant, there has been that underlying fear about how we would manage financially. He as you know, secured a Year's Maternity Cover post at Kingswood school in Bath, which was great and he really is enjoying working there but and it is a big but, it wasn't permanent and it was an hours journey every day.

Millfield is just 15/20 minutes up the road. He's teaching GCSE and A Level Maths, which is what he likes best. He will have to do a late duty once a week and will have to work Saturdays again but it is a permanent post and we couldn't be happier.

I am a believer in things happening for a reason. At the time I was dumbfounded by Jeff's unfair redundancy. I simply couldn't make sense of it all. He was treated appallingly but as a result of it, he got the job at Kingswood which enabled him to return to higher level Maths, which made it possible for him to apply for Millfield. So all has come good in the end. *phew!

Blackberries in abundance

Yesterday afternoon Jeff and I decided to go for our usual walk. Throughout the Summer I have patiently been watching the hedgerows change and 'Yes' the wait was over - blackberries galore.

We picked loads and they were delicious - so what to do with them all.
An apple and blackberry crumble of course but I also wanted to make something a little different. This is where Pinterest comes in very handy - I simply typed 'Blackberry Recipes' into the search box and a whole host of delights popped up.

I had to wait for the children to come home - I'm not allowed to Bake without help!
We went for this delicious Blackberry and Apple Cake - you can find out all the information *HERE*
And I must say, it is delicious x

A few eagle eyed dots and spots shoppers have already spotted them on the website and placed their orders - I must say I LOVE mine xx

Coming SOON!'

eek! I'm just a little bit excited to share with you my new iPhone covers coming soon to the dots and spots shop. I have wanted to do them for 'aaaaaages' and finally, I have found someone who could print them at a reasonable price here in the UK.

There are 2 designs to start with - the spot and the star design.
Poor Jeff just walked through the door and I had him modelling it for me!

There are 4 colours to choose from - red, blue, pink and navy.
The design wraps around the sides of the cover too.
They will retail at £18.00 each.

I still need to photograph them and then sweet talk Jeff into getting them onto the website, so they should be available within the next week or so - I'll keep you posted.
