Half term hols!

Yay! for lazy starts and sunshine.

I love holiday time, no alarm clocks, slow starts to the day and see what the weather holds. We're spending the week at home as Sophie is busy revising and there are far too many jobs to be getting on with here at home. Due to the sunshine, outside projects have been a more popular choice, no surprises there! That box room and wall papered ceiling is still waiting for a little much need TLC!

We've done a couple of evening walks 5km+, as my leg is feeling a little out of sorts to run at the mo. A chance to really appreciate the lovely surroundings of where we live.

Whilst waiting for the shed delivery at the end of the week, it was time to tackle the front hedge. We attempted to trim it back in October but couldn't reach fully with the ladders so ended up giving it a mohican. Jeff then made another attempt in the Easter holidays but ended up making it look a lot worse, so we've been putting it off until now.

So today he actually climbed into the middle of it all and cut it from within. I was left in charge of fielding the any branches that emerged, trimming the outside, so it at least looked straight and then sweeping up all the mess. Three trips to the tip later and a car needing hoovering clean, we were done! It still needs a little more attention but it's now a more manageable height to maintain and the neighbours seemed happy as it has now improved their view - so all round a good day x
